Marlon Brando may have been the first to draw attention to the attractions of the male tank top, but there have been many interpretations since. Lenny Kravitz has been wearing different versions for decades. Kanye West is regularly seen in his own Yeezy iterations, as well as FoG muscle tees, and Harry Styles breaks teenage hearts every time he puts one on.
This version is a navy overdye on a greige base. Note: as these are small-batch overdyed, special care should be taken when first washing and wearing to avoid colour transfer.

HOW IT WAS MADE
The Muscle Tee was made by a small factory in Barcelos, Portugal, that specialises in luxury jersey items, and is used by some of the world’s most prominent luxury brands.
You can see pictures of this plant, which manufactured both the Muscle Tee and the Trapeze Sweatshirt here.
Carbon brushing brings softness and dust repellent properties to a 130gm/sqm jersey, knitted in Portugal.
These tees were made in unbleached fabric, that was then garment dyed to our exact specifications in a small dyehouse in the same industrial complex. You can see pictures of the vats and the dye house here. The only chemical used to finish the dying process was good old sodium chloride, aka salt.
SHAPE + DETAILING
For the Muscle Tee, we combined the construction of a tank with the dimensions of a T-shirt. Extended shoulders compliment most body types: vertical rear seaming ensures that the tee holds its form; rear reversed darting creates a tailored line, and an unfinished armhole adds attitude.
COMPOSITION + CARE
100% Cotton.
Gentle machine wash cool.

All our photographs are shot in natural light, no pinning, no flash, no crafty illumination. Nobody lives in a photographic studio; how the clothes look in the pictures is how they are going to look on you. But as the light changes, colours appear to change slightly too.
Each t-shirt has been manufactured by an individual seamstress and then batch dyed. Although rigorous quality control is employed, both processes can result in slight deviations.
